Dominic Deslandes achieves ASBA certifications

CARPELL is pleased to announce that Dominic Deslandes, Vice-President of Carpell Surfaces Inc., has achieved two prestigious certifications designated by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA): Certified Field Builder-Synthetic Turf and Certified Track Builder.
The ASBA maintains a rigorous certification program with the goal to promote professional standards within the industry. There are three different categories of certification: Certified Track Builders, Certified Tennis Court Builders, and Certified Field Builders. Certified Field Builders are classified: natural turf and synthetic turf.
To become certified, candidates must pass a comprehensive exam on topics ranging from sports fields construction and maintenance to project planning and management. Applicants must have a minimum of three years' experience in the industry and demonstrate proven work experience. A thorough understanding of site work, layout, sub-base and base construction, surfacing and marking, maintenance and renovation is a pre-requisite. Additionally, they must provide a minimum of three professional references.
